BOB is built on a retired HexCrawler HDATS 18-DOF Hexapod base with a 2-DOF pan/tilt platform for camera scanning. The main processor is a Beagleboard rev C4.

Currently, BOB can walk (OK, more like shamble), identify faces and track them with the camera, and output speech.

Future enhancements will be integrated laser distance scanning, voice commands, and SLAM based mapping and localization.
