  • [17:52:45] <AK6L> that'd be pretty neat.
  • [17:53:04] <AK6L> the hard part with wearables that i've seen has been a) display and b) battery life
  • [17:53:14] <AK6L> b) is easier to solve with the advent of LiPo batteries
  • [17:53:18] <koen> AK6L: beagleHAM?

  • [17:53:55] <ds2> the beagle offers both s-video out AND LCD controllers
  • [17:54:21] <puppy> how do i turn on the s-video all the time? right at boot?
  • [17:54:25] <ds2> battery... well, that isn't that bigof an issue to solve
  • [17:54:33] <puppy> and show the desktop ;-)
  • [17:54:33] <ds2> puppy: yep. RC scripts or patch the kernel
  • [17:54:35] <AK6L> ds2: right, i just mean the actual display hardware; video goggles and the like are still kind of expensive
  • [17:54:54] <AK6L> a wrist-mounted lcd or something similar would be difficult to use because of size.
  • [17:55:05] <AK6L> but i guess if you want a wearable, the compromises are evident and acceptable :)
